Samsung halts Galaxy S21 One UI 4.0 update due to Google Play issue

Samsung is temporarily pulling the plug on the Android 12 One UI 4.0 update for the Milky way S21 series in South Korea, every bit per a recent proclamation issued by a Samsung Community Moderator (via TizenHelp). According to it, a few devices are experiencing an error due to compatibility issues with Google Play.

The One UI four.0 rollout won't resume until Google and Samsung solve the outcome. It sounds like the trouble may not prevarication entirely with Samsung, or at all, but any the case may be, they are working difficult to resume the Ane UI 4.0 firmware rollout as soon every bit possible.

Galaxy S21 series follows the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Fold three

Samsung's latest foldable phones suffered a similar fate in South Korea, and the company had to temporarily halt the Android 12 Ane UI four.0 release. We tested the firmware on the Galaxy Z Flip iii, and it seems to be working fine, but that doesn't mean other users haven't experienced problems with their devices following the latest firmware update.

Similarly, we have yet to find any severe issues with the Galaxy S21 running Android 12, so this latest problem appears to be limited in reach. Nevertheless, it's bad plenty to have convinced Samsung to put the update on hold in Republic of korea. Nosotros'll let yous know equally soon as we find out if other regions are besides affected.
